Gose apologizes for mistake in center field

TORONTO -- Anthony Gose owned it. The Tigers' center fielder took responsibility for his fourth-inning gaffe in Saturday's 15-1 loss to the Blue Jays, and he said he apologized to starting pitcher Buck Farmer for the run that resulted.

"I can't go back and change it," Gose said Sunday morning before he took his usual spot in center for Sunday's series finale. "It happened. It was stupid."

Gose admitted the obvious, that he mistakenly thought he had caught the third out of the inning when he ran down Josh Donaldson's drive in right-center field.
