Fulmer stumbles but Tigers rally past White Sox

Chicago — A little plot twist Friday night.

This time, it was the Tigers who had Michael Fulmer’s back.

Fulmer has been the Tigers’ rock, especially in his previous 10 starts, but on this night he faltered, allowing the Chicago White Sox to overcome a 4-1 lead in the fifth inning.

Miguel Cabrera picked him up.

Cabrera capped a wild, three-run rally in the seventh with a two-out, two-strike, two-run single up the middle off reliever Nate Jones, sending the Tigers to a 7-5 win.

For Cabrera, who had four hits and a walk, the RBIs were Nos.
