White Sox 12, Tigers 3: Anibal Sanchez gives up grand slam, ambushed by Chicago in blowout loss

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers entered Saturday's contest against the Chicago White Sox riding a three-game win streak, thanks in large part to their starting pitching.

And that win streak came to an abrupt end Saturday, thanks in large part to their starting pitching.

Anibal Sanchez gave up two home runs, including a grand slam, and was lit up for a career-high nine earned runs in Detroit's 12-3 loss to Chicago at Comerica Park.

It marked just the second loss in 11 games for the Tigers, who had a chance to equal the 1984 and 1911 teams for the best 11-game start in franchise history.
