DETROIT -- For the third straight game, the Detroit Tigers managed to score less than three runs. And for the third straight game, the Tigers still managed to find a way to win.
Jose Iglesias singled home the game-winning run with one out in the ninth inning and David Price threw eight solid innings of one-run ball as the Tigers pulled out a 2-1 walk-off win over the Chicago White Sox on Friday afternoon at Comerica Park.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 9-1 overall, matching Detroit's 1984, 1968 and 1911 teams for the best 10-game start in franchise history.
