Detroit Tigers lineup: Victor Martinez back in starting lineup; Hernan Perez gets first start this season

DETROIT -- Tigers manager Brad Ausmus wasn't lying. Victor Martinez is back.

Martinez has been tabbed Detroit's designated hitter against the Chicago White Sox today after being held out of the starting lineup the past four games.

As expected, he'll bat cleanup behind Miguel Cabrera.

J.D. Martinez, who has hit fourth in Martinez's absence this week, will return to the No. 5 spot in the lineup, and Yoenis Cespedes will once again hit sixth.

It's the first time Martinez has been penciled in the starting lineup since April 12. He hasn't appeared in a game since Tuesday when he struck out during a pinch-hit at-bat in the ninth inning in Detroit's 2-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
