Major League Baseball released the All-Star Game reserves on Monday night, and Detroit Tigers fans should be pleased with the results.
Right fielder J.D. Martinez, shortstop Jose Iglesias and left-handed starter David Price will attend next week’s All-Star Game in Cincinnati. The three players would be joining first baseman Miguel Cabrera as the four Detroit representatives, but Cabrera will not be able to start due to his strained calf.
It was announced on Monday that Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols will replace Cabrera in the starting lineup.
