The Detroit Tigers have been locked in a few pitching duels lately, but they continue to come out on top. Today, David price and Jeff Samardzija went toe-to-toe at Comerica Park, and the Tigers were able to walk off winners against Zach Duke and the Chicago White Sox in the ninth inning.
Jose Iglesias got the glory today, slapping a single into right-center field to score Andrew Romine in the bottom of the ninth inning, delivering the Tigers a 2-1 win. Iglesias also doubled off White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija with no outs in the seventh inning, but was stranded on base.
