Red Wings' Marchenko in, Gustav Nyquist out on World Cup rosters

Alexey Marchenko has turned a solid appearance at the world championships into a spot in a reignited international tournament.

The defenseman was added to Russia's final roster for the World Cup, joining Detroit Red Wings teammate Pavel Datsyuk, who was named to the team in early March.

Other Wings already named include Dylan Larkin (North America), Petr Mrazek (Czech Republic), Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall (Sweden) and Tomas Tatar (Europe).

But despite leading Sweden with seven goals at the world championships, Gustav Nyquist did not make the cut for the final Swedish roster today.
