ST. LOUIS -- Steve Ott spotted his name on the board in the visitors’ dressing room in his old arena and laughed.
Teammates had him on the board because tonight's game between the Detroit Red Wings and St. Louis Blues (8 p.m., FSD) will be the 800th of his career. Ott played for the Blues before signing with the Wings in July.
“Yeah, he’s excited,” Justin Abdelkader said, smiling. “He’s close with a lot of the guys over there. It should be a little extra special for him, for sure."
Abdelkader said he is ready to return after missing two games with a mid-lower body injury.
