That’s the story of the first two days of Pistons training camp in a nutshell. Stan Van Gundy was happy with what he saw from Wednesday’s first five-on-five, full-court scrimmaging of the 2016-17 season – good pace, no health concerns, several players who caught his attention.
“Andre (Drummond) played really well. Shot the ball well at the free-throw line and played very well, I thought,” he said. “Aron (Baynes) played well. I really like Jon (Leuer). Jon can play (power forward and center), smart, can play with other people. Stanley (Johnson) had a great end of game.
