Pistons News: Detroit Has A "Small Chance" Of Landing Mo Williams Via Trade, Per Report

The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly actively shopping veteran guard Mo Williams prior to the trade deadline, and there are several contenders who are interested in his services.

According to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN, the Detroit Pistons are in the mix, but are far from a favorite at this juncture:

As a reserve point guard role for the Timberwolves this season (along with making 18 starts due to Ricky Rubio's recently-healed injury), Mo is averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 2.3 turnovers in just over 28 minutes per night. He is currently posting a shooting line of 40.3/34.6/85.2, and is on a one-year expiring deal for $3.75 million.

For a team like the Pistons in need of guard depth, Williams would be a heck of a value. However, with three teams reportedly ahead of them in the pecking order, they may have to look elsewhere for their backcourt needs.
