Detroit Pistons starting point guard Brandon Jennings has seen the lion's share of minutes go to his backup, D.J. Augustin, to start the 2014-15 NBA season.

With new head coach Stan Van Gundy taking the reins and a quality point guard behind him, Brandon Jennings' spot in the starting lineup has been the cause of much speculation.

From Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press (via NBC's Pro Basketball Talk)

Van Gundy has turned to backup point guard D.J. Augustin for a majority of minutes in the first two games of the 0-2 start.

And it’s obvious that Van Gundy’s decision-making process is bothering Jennings.

When told that Van Gundy said that Augustin has been the better point guard the first two games, Jennings quietly said: “Then he should start and I’ll be the backup, if that’s the case.”

And with that Jennings added: “That’s all I’ve got.”

He then walked away from reporters.

From the looks of it, handling Brandon Jennings' emotional state and juggling it with what's best for the team going forward could be the first true test of Van Gundy's tenure in Detroit.
