SAN FRANCISCO - Reggie Bush enjoyed the two seasons he played for the Detroit Lions.
"I wanted to stay a little longer," Bush said Saturday on the red carpet at the NFL Honors show. "But obviously they had different plans and now the GM’s not there. So it all works out somehow."
The Lions cut Bush last February in a cost-cutting move after he missed much of the 2014 season with ankle injuries. General manager Martin Mayhew, who made the final decision to move on from Bush, was fired a few months later amid a 1-7 start.
