NOTEBOOK: Lions benefiting from rookies' contribution

The Detroit Lions’ 2016 draft class has stepped into starting positions and backup roles sooner than might be expected – and with better results.

From the first round to the seventh – and every round in between – draft picks have done something to distinguish themselves in the first six games.

Head coach Jim Caldwell spoke in his press conference Friday morning about how the rookies’ contribution is above the norm.
