Lions' Ngata out about one week with hamstring injury

Allen Park -- The Lions will now be without four starters when training camp begins.

Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, the Lions' prized offseason acquisition, will start camp on the active/non-football injury list, the team announced before practice Monday.

Ngata is dealing with a minor hamstring injury and should return in about a week.

Defensive end Jason Jones, running back Joique Bell and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle are starting camp on the active physically unable to perform list. All four of the players, including Ngata, can return to practice as soon as they're cleared medically.
