With the breaking news of Chris Paul being traded to the Houston Rockets, Nuggets fans are a little disappointed that they won’t get a shot at the super star point guard.
However, this may actually be a blessing in disguise. While I will admit, I would have loved to have landed Paul, it would have been a short term fix. Paul will be out of his prime within the next three to four years which would have left Denver overpaying a point guard with his best years behind him.
Plus, with how well Jamal Murray has developed, do not be surprised if he is utilized more at the point guard spot this coming season, not to mention Monte Morris could surprise some fans as well.
