Emmanuel Mudiay has had a roller coaster ride in his short two year career with the Denver Nuggets. He started off struggling which was to be somewhat expected with how young he was and showed flashes of improvement at the end of his first year.
This past year however, was a different story. Mudiay started off struggling and was eventually benched for the veteran, Jameer Nelson. It even got to the point where Michael Malone did not even play him any minutes in some games resulting in a string of DNP’s for the young point guard.
The Nuggets tried to deal him for Eric Bledsoe during the draft which was stonewalled once Josh Jackson fell into Phoenix’s lap.
