A year gone by and the Nuggets got … younger?
They did.
The Nuggets added three new faces via the NBA draft (Jamal Murray, Juancho Hernangomez and Malik Beasley) and at the same time sliced years off the combined age of their roster. Those moves, combined with the youth already present, makes this season’s task simple: Get the young talent to perform.
If it does, the Nuggets could be a surprise playoff team in the Western Conference. Players, both young and veteran, have not been shy about stating that this team can make the playoffs. And there is enough veteran talent to balance out the scale a bit to help ease the learning curve.
