The Oklahoma City Thunder have made official what many in NBA circles were anticipating would happen, they fired Head Coach Scott Brooks after not making the playoffs after the 2015 season.
In an article we posted yesterday, I speculated on some possible coaching hires that are being bandied about and I slipped Brooks into the mix even though he hadn’t officially been fired yet. To me, this is now a no brainer. The Nuggets HAVE to go after Brooks to coach this team next year. He has already been here in Denver as an assistant coach (2003-2006 under George Karl) and has the NBA pedigree (without a championship as coach) that excites me as a Nuggets fan.
