Dempsey: Nuggets must keep Kenneth Faried if they want to run

Kenneth Faried stared out blankly the way only Kenneth Faried can, pausing because of the irritation of even having to stand there with media in the first place, before slowly answering in that unmistakable Kenneth Faried way.

Somebody had asked about trade rumors.

"That's life," he said. "Whatever happens, happens. Just got to deal with it. That's what you get into when you start playing this sport, especially at this level."

Yet, if we're being honest, when he arrived in the NBA, Faried was not ready for the stress that trade rumors can bring. He admitted it himself late in the 2013-14 season, when he said he was so distraught at the constant rumors, it paralyzed his play on the court.
