Report: 49ers sign defensive lineman Earl Mitchell after they outbid the Broncos

After free agent defensive lineman Earl Mitchell left Denver without signing a deal, it seemed like his chances of joining the team were slim. When free agents leave without a deal from Broncos General Manager John Elway they rarely ending up joining the team and that proved true again this time around.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the San Fransisco 49ers have signed Earl Mitchell to a four-year deal worth $16 million dollars. He will reportedly make $5.5 million dollars in his first year of the contract.
