Colorado edged Colorado State in the Rocky Mountain Showdown and again Thursday with NFL Combine invites.
The Buffaloes will have three former players — receiver Nelson Spruce, cornerback Ken Crawley and offensive tackle Stephane Nembot representing their proram Feb. 23-29 at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
CSU got two invites — receiver Rashard Higgins and cornerback DeAndre Elliott.
Higgins, the most notable of the five, is the Rams’ all-time leading in receptions (238), receiving yards (3,643) and (31) touchdowns. He was a two-time first-team all-Mountain West selection and a first-team all-american selection during his sophomore season.
