Broncos select QB Paxton Lynch after trading up in 2016 NFL Draft

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After acquiring the 26th overall pick in a trade with Seattle, the Broncos have selected quarterback Paxton Lynch out of Memphis with their first pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Standing tall at 6-feet-7-inches, Lynch was dynamic for the Tigers in his three seasons as their starting quarterback. In his best year, his junior season, he completed 66.8 percent of his passes for 3,778 yards with 28 touchdowns and just four interceptions. In his three-year career, Lynch totaled 8,865 passing yards, 59 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

Lynch also has some wheels, compiling 687 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground.
