According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, the Denver Broncos and John Elway have Miami (FL) offensive lineman Ereck Flowers on their ‘radar’.
Flowers is a massive, powerful tackle coming from the Hurricanes program, and based what I’ve seen on film, he looks more like a guard in the NFL than a tackle but he might compare pretty favorably — and forgive me for doing this — to Orlando Franklin, who is now with the San Diego Chargers.
Measurables
There are plenty of doubters of Flowers, mainly because he uses a bit sloppy technique in pass protection, but this is a mauler with short area quickness that could be successful in the Broncos’ zone blocking scheme.
