Report: Broncos, John Fox Mutually Agree To Part Ways

The Denver Broncos and head coach John Fox have mutually agreed to part ways, according the ESPN's Adam Schefter, just one day after they lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Fox posted a 46-18 record since joining the Broncos in 2011, but has a less than impressive 3-4 mark in the postseason. Denver’s front office reportedly views that Fox was "gifted" Manning and has “only” been able to produce one Super Bowl appearance out of it.

Many of Fox’s assistants in Denver have gone on to become successful head coaches in the NFL, including Mike McCoy with the Chargers. His current staff is led by offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who is at the top of coaching wishlists across the NFL, and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio, who is a candidate for the Oakland Raiders job.

Jay Glazer reports that Fox will now “shoot to the top” of all coaching wishlists around the league.
