If Christian Pulisic’s first weekend of the Bundesliga season is any indication, U.S. soccer supporters are in for quite a ride over the next nine months — and perhaps into the World Cup next summer.
Pulisic, the Hershey, Pa., attacker who turns 19 next month, opened Borussia Dortmund’s campaign with a terrific goal and superb assist during a 3-0 victory at Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Eight days before reporting to U.S. national team camp for a pair of World Cup qualifiers, Pulisic lined up on the right wing, scored in the 22nd minute for his sixth career Bundesliga goal and set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s finish in the 60th at Volkswagen Arena.
