The first period saw a solid start to the game and the series. Both teams had their fair share of chances, but the period ended scoreless.
The second period still had the physicality and excitement of the first period. Antoine Roussel opened the scoring in the game midway through the frame after Radek Faksa‘s shot hit Brian Elliott to produce a perfect rebound.
