The Dallas Stars overcame a lot of adversity in the 2015-16 season including an injury to Tyler Seguin at a crucial part in the season.
That injury, which sidelined No. 91 for the end of the regular season and held him to one playoff game, opened the door for players like Cody Eakin to step up.

Eakin transformed himself as a player this past season, totaling 35 points (16G, 19A) playing in all 82 of Dallas’ games. No. 20 also made the unlikely transition from a third line player to the first line center within a matter of a few games.
