As we make our way through the doldrums of the offseason and head closer to preseason (Sept. 22, y'all), Mike Heika has kicked off a player profile series to help us make it through. First up is Alex Goligoski and his role on the blue line.
But the NHL started publishing shot differential stats last year, and Goligoski was one of the best players on the Stars. At plus-205, he trailed only Jason Demers and Jamie Benn, and he showed that he is a player that makes a positive impact on his team.
