The Stanley Cup Playoffs have been a wild ride so far to say the least. While the Dallas Stars fell short of punching their ticket this year, it’s still been entertaining to watch.
Who would have guessed that the Chicago Blackhawks would be eliminated, the Toronto Maple Leafs would take the best team in the league to six hard-fought games, the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets would fall so easily, and the defending Western Conference champions would be knocked out all in the first round?
There were a lot of milestones hit. The Nashville Predators swept the Blackhawks, making it the first time in professional sports history that an eight-seed swept a one-seed.
