March is the month of unreasonable hope. It's a time when spring training magic allows the Oakland A's to ponder World Series plans or, to localize it, a time when I dream of a Final Four pick actually reaching a thing called the Final Four.
Along these lines, true Mavericks fans maintain their playoff dreams. I don't mean to shatter these things, but with a crazy Russell Westbrook-fueled 92-21 loss to Oklahoma City at American Airlines Center on Monday, you can't really even call those dreams any longer.
The loss was the Mavs' third in a four-game homestand against playoff teams, and that's just another way of saying Dallas won't be one this year.
