JJ Barea Gets Good Look at Andrew Wiggins’ Knee Caps

The Mavericks’ J.J. Barea played well in Puerto Rico’s 78-72 loss to Canada in the Tuto Marchand Continental Cup finale on Wednesday, scoring 17 points and dishing out nine assists, but most people will only remember his encounter with reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins.

Here’s what happened:

As you can see, Barea slid over to take a charge on the driving Canadian, but what he didn’t count on was Wiggins taking off of two feet from outside the key and slamming it home with authority. No shame in getting dunked on by one of the world’s most explosive athletes, though.
