After losing out on DeAndre Jordan over the summer, the Dallas Mavericks turned their attention to a backup plan to fill in the needed holes on the roster. Zaza Pachulia was obtained in a trade for a second round pick and Deron Williams was signed after being bought out from Brooklyn. Dallas rolled into the season hoping for fast injury recoveries and a group of veterans.
Wesley Matthews came back sooner than expected and the Mavs watched Chandler Parsons try to get back to 100% only to see him go down once again to a season ending knee injury.
