Altitude will play role in Mavericks-Suns game in Mexico -- maybe salsa dancing, too

MEXICO CITY -- Former Maverick great Tyson Chandler had his hands on his knees and later admitted what was clearly obvious during Phoenix's practice for Thursday's NBA Global Games with the Mavericks.

"This altitude kills me," he said. "It took me five minutes of running just to catch my breath and get my head clear."

This came just a moment or two after a female Mexican reporter engaged Chandler in a little salsa dance lesson.

Asked a few minutes later if he'd like to show off his moves again, Chandler gave a definitive: "No way."

Such is life south of the border.
