HOUSTON — It’s supposed to be the Rockets who are the crummy free throw shooting team in this series, but it was the Mavericks who were just 9 for 21 (43 percent) in Game 4.
Carlisle, however, went quickly into “what, me worry?” mode when asked about the misfiring.
“We had an off night shooting free throws,” he said. “We were great in [the first three games, 68 for 80, 85 percent]. We’ll be all right.”
Carlisle said the Mavericks worked on free throw shooting in a noncontact practice Monday, trying to re-create tense game situations.
