We're nearing three weeks since the NFL's free agency period kicked off, and Tony Romo remains on the Dallas Cowboys' roster.
What gives? Why delay the split everybody knows is coming? As SportsDay's David Moore examined recently: The Cowboys are trying to make Houston, and to a lesser extent Denver, sweat just enough to consider a trade. Time is the only leverage available to Dallas.
And Romo talks don't appear to be advancing -- at least not yet -- in Arizona, where Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones and Broncos GM John Elway find themselves for the NFL owners' meetings that got under way Sunday.
