Source: Cowboys LB Justin Jackson tears ACL; team down to 9 linebackers on active roster

The Dallas Morning News’ David Moore reports, according to a source, that Cowboys linebacker Justin Jackson tore his anterior cruciate ligament in Saturday’s practice, leaving the team with nine linebackers on its active roster.

Justin Jackson, 6-0, 232-pound undrafted free agent who signed with the Cowboys on June 8, led Wake Forest in tackles as a junior in 2012. In 2011 at Wake Forest, Jackson was a college teammate of Cowboys linebacker Kyle Wilber.

In 37 career games at Wake Forest, Jackson had 197 tackles, seven sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss and six pass breakups.
