Jerry Jones says Cowboys ‘addressed’ pass rush needs in draft, free agency

During the 2014 regular season, the Cowboys recorded only 28 sacks — the fifth-lowest total in the NFL.

In the divisional playoffs, they were torched by Green Bay’s gimpy quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, because they didn’t dent his pocket enough.

Pressure is the name of the game in the NFL and the Cowboys know that. That’s why they spent this offseason acquiring players who can augment the pass rush. They signed the controversial — and now suspended — Greg Hardy to an incentive-laden contract. They then drafted Randy Gregory in the second round and Ryan Russell in the fifth — two defensive ends whom the Cowboys believe can make an immediate impact.
