Dez Bryant after first padded-practice: 'There's really no rust'

OXNARD, Calif. — Dez Bryant wasn’t a full participant during the Cowboys’ first padded-practice of training camp on Saturday. The coaching staff is easing him back in after he missed almost all of organized team activities and minicamp.

The All-Pro wide receiver was held out of one-on-one drills early in practice.

“That was real tough,” Bryant said. “I think that would’ve warmed me up a little bit. But hey, it’s all good.”

Holding his helmet behind the line of scrimmage, Bryant gave encouragement to the other wide receivers and talked trash to the defensive backs.

When Cole Beasley made a catch with Tyler Patmon draped all over him, Bryant repeatedly yelled: “You can hold him, but you can’t stop him!
