Dallas Cowboys LB Sean Lee says limited participation in practice is 'precautionary'

OXNARD, Calif. — Sean Lee’s participation in the first practice with pads Saturday was limited. After doing some work in the individual drills, Lee was absent during the team portion. At one point, he worked with resistance cords on another field with an athletic trainer.

But Lee said not to worry.

“It’s precautionary,” he explained. “I’m good.”

That news came as a relief for the Cowboys, who didn’t have Lee’s services at any point during the 2014 season after the linebacker tore the anterior cruciate ligament his left knee in May of last year.

Lee, 29, looked pretty agile as he sprinted off the field after signing some autographs.
