Cowboys Rumors: NFLPA Tells Dallas To Spend More Money

The NFLPA has told the Dallas Cowboys that they aren't spending enough money.

Under current rules, each NFL team is required to spend at least 89 percent of their salary cap over a four-year period (2013-2016 is the current cycle). Dallas spent $127,926,118 in cash in 2013 and $183,481,196 in 2014, putting their mark at 82.58 percent over the past two years.

They need to spend $139 million in 2015 to make up the difference and get back to the 89 percent threshold.

Dallas will have to pay the NFLPA the remaining amount if they don't meet the mark, and the money would be distributed to players who were on the team over that timespan.

The Raiders, Panthers, Jets, Jaguars, Patriots, Saints, Redskins, Giants, and Steelers, are also currently below the mark, according to USA Today.
