Cowboys OTAs News: Dez Bryant "respecting his job" more this offseason

In today's Cowboys news update, superstar wide receiver Dez Bryant has been working on how he approaches his job as the team's top wideout.

According to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, "working hard on the field, in the film room and in the weight room have helped Bryant consistently improve. Staying out of trouble off the field has also benefited his play. Bryant said all of that is part of his maturation as a player."

By doing just that, Bryant hopes to lead by example for the team's younger players.

Bryant stated that his message for them is to “love and respect the job you do.”

“If you do that, you’re going to dominate,” he stated, via Machota's article posted on Monday. “I love my job. I’m doing a better job of respecting it.”

All the work that Bryant is putting in is also paying dividends from a physical standpoint.

“Feeling lighter,” he stated. “Flying off the ball. Something I’ve been working on before OTAs. As of right now, it’s been good."

"I’m anxious to see what it is on the field in a real game.”
