The NFL schedule for next season has just been released, so here are the three biggest match-ups for the Dallas Cowboys heading into their 2014 schedule:

Sunday, September 7th vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers have a storied history together, and 2014 presents another chapter in a rivalry which captured the hearts and minds of fans just a couple decades ago.

If the Cowboys can make a statement in Dallas against a team which is a prohibitive Super Bowl favorite in many analysts' minds, we could be headed for a grudge rematch come playoff time.

Sunday, October 12th at Seattle Seahawks

The Dallas Cowboys' biggest prove-yourself moment of 2014 comes in a visit to the Pacific Northwest and the raucous 12th Man of the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Other than key match-ups within the NFC East, this qualifies as the test for the Cowboys on the road in 2014. If the reshuffled Cowboys defense can hold the Seahawks' running game in check, it will be up to Tony Romo to inform Seattle and the entire NFL that the Cowboys are a force to be reckoned with.

Monday Night Football, October 27th  vs. Washington Redskins

Welcome back, Jason Hatcher.

The two hated rivals saw their deep-seeded disdain for one another taken to another level in the offseason, with former Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher jumping ship to the Redskins without exactly being quiet about it. It's Redskins/Cowboys in Dallas with added levels of "eff you" attitude. NBC?
