Cowboys News: Jerry Jones Fears Sean Lee's Season is Over

Sean Lee is an absolutely vital part of the Cowboys defense, but the team fears that the neck injury he suffered against Chicago in week 14 could be season-ending.

Lee, a fourth-year linebacker out of Penn State, has developed into a vocal leader on the Cowboys defense. His 99 tackles are second on the team, and he leads the Cowboys with four interceptions on the year.

Jerry Jones told KRLD-FM on Tuesday that the Cowboys are very concerned that Lee's season is over. Without giving too many specifics about the neck injury, Jones intimated that Lee is unlikely to play against the Redskins on Sunday and his status going forward is up in the air.

The Cowboys have the NFL's worst pass defense, allowing 297.4 passing yards per game, and their rush defense isn't much better, allowing 129.9 yards per game on the ground.
