Mamadou Sakho’s performances for Crystal Palace are adding millions to Liverpool’s asking price.
Liverpool were willing to sell in January for £20million but that has risen, with Sakho having impressed in Palace’s fight against Premier League relegation.
Sam Allardyce has made no secret of his wish to sign Sakho permanently and Palace will look into it once safety is secured, though they face paying a higher price.
There is no clause in the loan contract to make the Palace deal permanent and it is understood Liverpool now want more than £25m for the 27-year-old.
