Frank de Boer is convinced a mid-table finish will make him 'just as happy as winning a trophy' as he moves from title-chasing to a search for solidity at Crystal Palace.
The former Ajax and Inter Milan manager takes charge of Palace for the first time on Saturday against Huddersfield Town, with a different brief to the one he is used to.
De Boer won Holland's Eredivise title four times at Ajax and at Inter he was sacked after just 85 days for failing to challenge for trophies.
But at Palace he believes it would be 'fantastic' just to finish in the Premier League's top 12 after talks with chairman Steve Parish.
