Indianapolis, Ind. -- Saturday's regular-season finale at Butler for the Creighton Baseball team was cancelled due to severe rain and lightning.
Creighton closes the regular season at 23-23 overall and 11-4 in BIG EAST play, while Butler's season came to a close at 31-20 on the season as well as 7-10 in conference action.
The Bluejays will now anxiously watch the final regular season game between Villanova and St. John's. Creighton is presently second in the BIG EAST, however if Villanova can pull off an upset of the Red Storm then the Bluejays would claim the BIG EAST regular season crown.
