MADISON, Wis. – The No. 14 Creighton men's soccer team defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 1-0 on Wednesday night during an exhibition match at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wis.
Players from both squads had to face rainy conditions throughout the match.
Transfer Marios Lomis provided the game-winning goal during the second half. The Bennebroek, Netherlands, native, found the back of the net during the 59th minute to break a scoreless tie and give the Bluejays a one-goal edge.
After an evenly played first half, Creighton controlled possession during the final 45 minutes.
