Santa Clara, Calif. -- Trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the ninth, sophomore Michael Emodi blasted a game-tying home run to force extra innings, but the Bluejay Baseball team came up just short in a 7-6 loss to Michigan in 10-innings on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The loss dropped Creighton to 1-4 on the season, while Michigan moved to 4-2 overall.
Creighton wraps up play in the Santa Clara tournament on Sunday, Feb. 26 as the Bluejays battle Saint Louis at 1:00 pm (CT).
