Omaha, Neb. -- Once all the dust from play today settled in the BIG EAST, the Creighton Baseball squad claimed its second
regular-season conference title in the last four years to earn the #1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament in Omaha from May 25-28.

After seeing its regular-season final game at Butler washed out by rain the Bluejays finished BIG EAST play with an 11-4 mark. Traveling to the airport, Creighton was left watching the final game between Villanova and St. John's. The Red Storm entered the game percentage points ahead of the Bluejays at 13-4, but the Wildcats had no plans to roll over.
